Hi Everyone,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here we go.
I recently upgraded my graphics card to run FS9 and FSX the way I really wanted to see them. While FSX is unknown other than the demo, FS9 is a new sim for me after buying the Geforce 7900GTO with 512MB.
The GTO card is quite rare because it appears they were not built for the retail market, so you wont find the GTO on the NVidia website as they dont officially exist as such. Effectively they are a 7900GTX with modified firmware, so what this means is they have the same clock speed as the 7900GTX, but cost half the price hense why they live under the radar some what as NVidia would rather you spend $1100 than $600. The card is SLI which means you can hook more than one together to double your power. Be aware this beast takes up two slots, and hooks into a spare power cable as it cant run under its own steam, so youll need a power adapter with 400w minimum.
I thought I was lucky getting one, and have since discovered more have become available where I bought mine. If you are considering a card upgrade and have $600 to spend, and your machine supports PCI rather than AGP, I encourage you to look at this card. Here is what Overclockers NZ has to say about the 7900GTO - Full Overclockers Review
"Well, not much can be said except: BUY the MSI 7900GTO!! The MSI 7900GTO is effectively an Nvidia 7900GTX with a tuned-down firmware and a different label. Thus, you are actually buying the 7900GTX for half of the price. Now, if you don't call that a great buy, I don't know what would be. Trust me, you will not find any other graphics cards on the market that offers the same performance / price ratio and almost guaranteed great overclocking result.
Do bear in minds that if you are going to get one, do it fast as this is a limited shipment from MSI & Nvidia. "

Below is a URL to the online Auckland based reseller I got mine form. I am in absolutely no way affiliated with these guys, I just know I love the card, it has awesome performance and would want to have the opportunity to look at it if I was buying. I also found the service to be very prompt, they answered my questions via return email within 30 minutes, so they arent cowboys, but I'm sure you could find the same card elsewhere as well. Hope this is helpful.
