.mdmp and .hdmp are mini-data "dump" files automatically generated when one or another System Files crash. Unless you are going to send them off to MS (as part of an Error Report) they are safe to delete. Unfortunately, they will not solve your problem. They can be viewed, but for the life of me I cannot remember with what (something from the .NETframework pack???).

Just saw the versionnumber of your FS9.exe. That the non-patched version. Try to patch FS9. Maybe that'll help. It solved a lot of Crash-to-desktop.

johanfrc- I just ran the update again but I got a message up saying 'Flight Simulator 9.1 update already seems to be installed. Installation will now cancel'

Thought that was an easy fix there!

In your main FS9-folder, do you have a folder called Backup?

If you have delete it, and then try to install the patch/update again.

cr@p- I just installed the 94.20 drivers and I've got this problem again.

Can't remember how I fixed this before dry.gif Bugger!

EDIT: installed an old 66.93 driver and it seems to have fixed it. I get some minor flickering between selection and menu screens but I can live with that!
