Q300s not on the level

I'm finding that I regularly see Q300s taxying around (or stationary) with the aircraft banked over so far that the wing tip touches the ground. Not always but fairly regularly. Also 1 seems to enter runway 02 at Christchurch NZCH at taxiway A& and the park on the threshold at a ninety degree angle to the departure runway heading.
Weird. Anyone maybe have a reason?

2020 or 2024? Are you using default AI, or FSLTL/AIG?

I no longer have AIG on my [2024] system. I'll see what I get with FSLTL+BATC. They use real schedules via Navigraph, so it'll be interesting to watch what they do!

I have used FSLTL models (with their injector and Navigraph live traffic) in the past and still have the models available to use. I can't say that I saw that behaviour when using it. This issue is not just limited to NZCH. The ATR can exhibit the same random and odd behaviour too.

I'm with you there Cowpatz. I had an ANZ ATR on the grass at R04 NZNV yesterday. It conveniently parked off the runway onto the grass and then tipped over onto its wing and gave me room to do a '180' ready for my first takeoff in the A220. I'm not sure who's going to take ownership of these broken ATR's. I do have FSTraffic installed. It could be one of theirs. I'm running 2024.

Speaking of the A220. I haven't landed it yet. I had a computer freeze on approach to NZCH. Rather than restart again I decided to watch a few YouTube videos on the 220. I think British Avgeek has got an excellent series. His method of flightplan updating is unusual and interesting. It shows the depth the developers have gone to. Anyway, I'm getting off topic here - sorry.

Well ... I've been sat at Gate5 NZCH for a few hours now (as I work on my other PC) ... and have watched AI traffic move around and land/depart with no problems at all. As far as the Q300 goes - a couple of departures, but no landings as of yet. Also - BATC seems to interface well with MSFS AI traffic, so all seem to be using the correct runway(s), depending on the wind direction.

There *may* be elevation problems at some airports, with bumps/ridges along taxiways, but my NZA NZCH seems pretty good on that score.

It does sound to me that maybe the AIG models are at fault. As regards using the correct runway, I think default MSFS AI often gets it wrong with respect to sim weather conditions. BATC gets around it (I think) because it's using *real* flight tracking via Navigraph - so if there's a change in [real] weather, then those flight plans will change accordingly.

I'd suggest giving FSLTL a go ...

UPDATE: After sitting on the tarmac for a few hours at NZCH, I flew the filed flight plan to NZWN - where I parked and watched the traffic. Again - no problems at all - and I managed to see a couple of flawless Q300 arrivals.

I have NZA NZCH as well. I might have to spend some time mucking around with things to see if I can resolve it. I'll start with going back to FSLTL and see what happens.

Quite possibly (AIG). Glad you found the problem!
