FSUIPC to MSFS

Postby Sonnyj » Thu May 04, 2023 7:07 pm

Hi, anybody out there using FSUIPC to input keystrokes from DIY switches to initiate commands in MSFS?

I'm having trouble getting the instructions to connect. I was 100% OK with FSUIPC and FSX, now it has all changed.

It is becoming a bit of a challenge.

Really looking forward to some help, I mean REALLY! :-)

Cheers..

Honestly, I can't remember why I used FSUIPC for FSX and P3D but I no longer use it for MSFS, so whatever it was is no longer required ... I still have all the same hardware and software, so something changed!
Not helpful, I know, but just my story. Are you *sure* you still need it, or maybe SPAD.Next could help? I still use that for all my Saitek gear but it also recognizes some other stuff.

Thanks Jeff,

I have spadnext, Do you use factory build/made controllers i.e. thrustmaster or something similar that MSFS recognises. MSFS doesn't recognise my hardware.

2nd question: If you have home build hardware (switches and the like) does spad find the device/s?

All my hardware is detected by both Spad.NEXT and MSFS directly. That is:

  • Logitech Extreme 3D joystick
  • Saitek Multi Panel
  • Saitek Switch Panel
  • Saitek Radio Panel
  • Saitek TPM
  • Saitek Pro Pedals
  • Saitek Cessna Trim Wheel
  • Desktop Aviator Parking Brake
  • ...and though it broke and has been removed ... Desktop Aviator Fuel Selector

I think you could probably classify the parking brake as 'home built'. I mean, I didn't build it, but someone did and it isn't a big manufacturer.
Detected by Windows, and thus available in MSFS. I may have had to bind the park brake key to it in MSFS, but honestly I don't even remember doing that specifically.
