Hi all. Sorry about all the questions, but this one has me puzzled. I am using fsx. I have noticed the vehicles are not on roads, ships appear in the middle of towns etc. I thought this was no biggie. NOW I am flying some of the missions. I am doing the Hawaii one, and there is no water... I did a search on the net and with M$ but could find no real solution. I have Dx11 installed. I have enabled Dx10 preview in the sim, but it makes no difference. I have downloaded as much NZ scenery as I can. No problem in Godzone.... Fs9 still works fine, although I have seen some strange things there too such as semi transparent wings. Strange aye.. I did not install fsx myself, but I see that it has Acceleration Expansion installed. Not sure about sp1 or sp2...

Hi Craig welcome to NZFF
To fix some of the aircraft and scenery that is not DX10 compatible you will need Addon Converter X which can be purchased from

Thanx Doug. I have been going to different air ports around the world. All seems ok except for anything to do with USA and Canada. There is no sea where it should be.. South Africa ( Cape Town) has a coast miles away, but the town is flat and no hills. Real strange. Is there a way of installing say, DX9c and running it just for fsx? I will try out Dougs fix after a bit more research..

Do you still have the problem when you disable the DX10 preview in your FSX?

Hi there. Yes I do. It wasn't enabled to start with, so I tried it, and no difference. I have now disabled it again. I also tried deactivating RW12 and EZ scenery just in case, but nothing. I should also point out that I am running windows 7 64 bit... cheers.

Graphics Card all upto date?

If you have a Nvidea card try searching the forums here for Nvidea Inspector and follow the tutorial.

Thanx Ian ( I think...). The Nvidia thing is also worth a look. I guess I should maybe do my own install, check it out and then keep adding things slowly until a problem occurs. Meantime I still have fs9... What a bugga.. Thanx guys.. Sorry to be always asking. New PC and new sim sad.gif

It looks like it could be a corrupt USA and Canada scenery install and the only way to fix it would be to uninstall and reinstall it again and if that don't work if the scenery is from a download go and download it again and reinstall from the new download.

Thanx Doug. I agree . I will check out the Nvidia thing, then do as you suggest. As I said, I didn't do this install and am not really sure of whats there and what isn't. I had never done any flying in the USA until I started to do the missions, so had never noticed anything as "very" wrong.. It took months to get fs9 running properly with many reinstalls. Btw I like your Argosy. I have a Bristol on fs9.. you just can't beat the sound of those engines... biggrin.gif

Found the problem. It seems that the Ultimate Terrain X was causing the conflict. I did a complete re-install and then slowly added things back until the problem happened. I didn't realise that the default flight was actually a harbour.. Thought the name of it was strange since no water was showing...lol.

Thank you all for your help
