i had this problem last reinstall.. it was CD4, i copyed to files and burnt a new cd, and bang, installed no probs..

So all I have to do is copy and paste all the files from cd4 to another blank cd, and install using the blank one? Cool bananas!

That cyclic redundancy check was the error I was getting when I needed a new laser in my DVD drive. Google it for more info.
