Mozilla Thunderbird HELP!!!

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Postby Kelburn » Sun Jul 22, 2007 10:22 am

I tried to update Mozilla Thunderbird today to version 2.0 and backed up my old 0.7 version.
After I installed Version 2 it wouldn't start so I put 0.7 back just overwriting the data from version 2.0
Anyway I started up 0.7 to expect nothing new but I can't find my old emails and I can't send emails so I have to get a new account in Thunderbird. Can anyone tell me the Slingshot mail servers or by any chance tell me how to get my emails back?
Please I really need to know!

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Tell us what fixed it mate, so anyone else in the same situation can learn :)

Firefox and Thunderbird keep back ups of nearly all settings by default - its just finding them is the hardest part. Let us know whether you imported the old settings or system restored it, or something else.

Cheers

I was told from the Mozilla forums to delete the older versionas that was stuffing up the new one and when I re-installed the new one it worked
