NZ Lakes Fix 2002

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to get someones advice on the Lakes Fix 2002. I have installed for FS9, and have it sitting just above the NZ Topo in the scenery library priority.

I noticed especially this morning flying around Milford Sound, that a lot of the hills have water rising up them, and flying into Milford Sound from the Southwest the Lake looks like it's sitting on a big sorta hill, sorry best description I can give.

Is this Lakes fix necessary for Flight Sim 2004, and if so does anyone else strike this problem?

Thx in advance,
Chris Donaldson

Hmm yea, without the fix all the lakes (Wakatipu, Tekapo and the ones north of there whose names elude me) are higher than the surrounding land and have cliffs rising up to them. It should be easy enough to take the fix off for a flight and see whether its worth it or not. ;)

You say you have NZ Topo? Is that the Christian Stock version? If so go to his section and search or ask.

You do not need the Lakes Fix 2002 if you have the NZ Topo.

This may help you as well

Chris,

I have had this problem at Queenstown, refer to this post.

I would advise you communicate with Christian Stock, or Lawrie (Snowman), they are both very knowledgeable about fixes >nzflag<

Hope that helps,

Matthew

Thx in advance,

Chris................

If you have the RedBaron NZ Topo Scenery for FS9, you DO NOT require the FS2002 Lakes fix. In the install instructions for NZ Topo, it tells you to REMOVE it !!
The NZ Topo scenery fixes river and lake levels all over NZ, including Queenstown, Mount Cook, and the horrible very sunken Lake Rotorua, just to name a few.
