are you looking for just the box, or for the whole smash (i.e. including monitor, keyboard, mouse)
those websites are really limited in what they have in graphics cards...

You seem to have been looking at appliance store brand name computers. Although these generally have a reasonable price, they are also generally poorly spec'd, especially for gaming.

I would try looking for custom system builders (actually I build my own computers, but I assume you don't want to do that).

For example, I had a quick look, and came up with a system that would be excellent for FS9 here.

It has all the things you should be looking for: Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB RAM, a 7900 series NVidia graphics card with 512MB video RAM and an X-Fi audio card.

Note that I do not know this vendor and am not recommending them, it's just an example. I suggest you pick a few like this, call them and discuss your requirements.

I suggest custom build as it saves a lot of money. I had to upgrade my motherboard and cpu and video card, so a whole rebuild. not very hard to do. just put in the right spot and push in. The instruction might not be helpful but internet is helpful.
So go cusom build and get an even better machine.(or donate it all to me :D )

With that money you should get......

Video card GeForce 8800gts/x Gaming for the future. Direct 10 games will begin being released and you will probably want to play them.

CPU Core 2 duo (any depending on prices)

RAM 2 or more giggs of DDR2. C2D and AM2 cpu's have a motherboard that only have DDR2. (Games are needing more and more RAM these days)

Powere Supply 1000mh(or whatever the speed is) With just the video card alone you'll need over 500mh(same as above) and then there is the other stuff, and when you upgrade.

Also some coolers might be good. Video card and CPU can make one *hec* of a racket.

Get a good monitor with the money you get from your old computer(sell it, come on, you know you want to!! Most people are like"I need a computer, oooo this one is only 400 pounds. I'm getting that!"

If you have enough money left over get the G15 (keyboard) and MX518 (mouse)

AND... if you still have money left over, sell you joystick and buy a better one e.g. lates one from saitek.(noooooooo the name left my brain!!!!!)

So if you budget cn be stretched by selling this is the way to go.......... Or donate your budget and the money from your computer to me :D :D :D :D :D
