Help me get my headset working!

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hi guys
Under the recommendation of NZFF's "aviatior" I went out and bought a $70 logitech 250 headset. But it doesn't work. Here are my symptoms
  • No sounds comes through the headphones or my desktop speakers
  • In Sound Recorded, I get the error: Your audio hardware cannot record into files like the current file
  • In Teamspeak I get this error: TDSoundOut.open(DirectSoundCreate): This function is not valid for the current state of the object.

I've updated my audio drivers today, still no luck

Help?

Ok, from the Sounds and Settings thingy in the Control Panel, you should be able to select the headphone as the device you want to use...

Righty-o Alex.

I might add that I don't think it's a problem with the Headset itself - if I turn all the volumes up and I speak into the mic I can hear it going back through the headset speakers.
