I did put you a bit wrong mentioning the VLC libraries -- I forgot that Galatea had a big photo scenery area, so you would definitely notice it even without the libraries.
One thing which has cropped up before, is that some people assume that any new airfield needs to be accessed by clicking the 'search addon scenery' button on the Select Airport page. That isn't the case, you just select it from the default scenery.

OIC. Thanks for the further help. I don't how I went wrong with the VLC Libraries as I let the installer do its own thing.

I got a further download and reinstalled VLC Libraries. Galatea now appears to be ok, although I can't find the train!!. LOL. Still not sure what the problem was.

Haha its well hidden- Just follow the track along from the Sawmill for (quite) a while
