Hi,
I am wondering if I have lost the many farm strips since the patch. Is that possible?
Try FSX banking camera. Works well for some flying.

They shouldn't have dissapeared ohmy.gif Is there a specific example you have that would allow me to double check?

Hi,
I remember flying North of Whangarei with the original VLC and landing on many of the green strips. Now there seems to be none?
Love your work,
Dave J

Ok I'll take a look- There will be a bit of a delay until I get my laptop back (unless Robin can do a quick check of the compiled data....although they will be hard to spot in there)

Ok, luckily I have the airstrips in my Google Earth, which show up as red polys, so it is reasonably easy to pinpoint them in the TMFViewer, and then FSX.
I've assumed that if there was a problem, it would be in the 9444 landclass file, which is the tile covering Whangarei all the way north. I've selected a handful (a technical term:) of airstrips and checked for them in FSX, and they all show up.
Maybe this is just that they are not so visible, after a landclass change in the update? I think that Tim might have made a change to the way that pasture is displayed, and I suspect that a lot of airstrips are surrounded by pasture, so they might not stand out so much. Pretty much like in real life, you'd need to know where most of them are to find them.

Here's a sample shot, you can make out the airstrip, but it is in fact sitting in a very similar landclass poly.

Thanks for the information,I will have a closer look. I remember flying north from Parakai in theearly VLC and noting there were many strips. They really stood out but it may be as you say the colour.

Thanks for that Robin- There were no base landclass changes in the patch but there were changes to the seasons file to make summer a bit browner- This may make things a little harder to spot in spring possibly but as Robin mentioned, most are pretty hard to spot until you are on top of them anyway.

Let me know if you do find any missing though smile.gif

Hi Guys,
Found my problem. I had the two sceneries too far down the list in the scenery library.
Now I can see everything as it should be. FSX must be sensitive to the positions in the list
Thanks
