Hi Guys- In order to allow users to tweak the VLC to suit their flying style and computer performance, there will be a small tool called the 'VLC Configuration tool'.

This will allow users to select of they want to see minor streams, minor roads and which night lights they want to see.

Some comparison shots are below:

Minor streams on (no custom texture finalised yet- Default texture used)

Minor streams off

Minor roads and tracks off (notice how more autogen is able to show through without the roads masking it)

All Roads

Night lights- None

Night Lights- Main only

Night Lights- All

Hopefully these tweaks will keep both the 'high and fast' and 'slow and low' drivers happy smile.gif

Can we have the minor roads off, dirt tracks on?

Not it will either be all on or all minor roads (Dirt tracks, minor urban roads)- This isn't because it isn't possible to do it, but because we need to be aware of loading times which will increase with an increase of number files to load

Great to see this project going ahead thumbup1.gif Really good stuff here.

Just one thing: from my place - Europe - I'm currently experiencing problems in accessing the flightsimtopo.freeblog.co.nz and the vectorlandclass.com site as well. Just displays a blank page with those titles. Thought it probably was my mobile network at home which randomly blocks site content for no apparent reason but it was the same on my company computer through a DSL broadband connection. mellow.gif

Interesting- At the moment the vectorlandclass domains just re-direct to the freeblog site anyway but I am in the process of organising a proper site for these very reasons.

Sorry for that- If there are any questions in the mean time, feel free to ask here smile.gif

I sorted out a new host for the website today so hopefully this will be up and running soon, albeit basically.
