Been to Christchurch this weekend.
Went down on NZ413 - 737-300 ZK-SJB and came back up on NZ5068 - ATR 72 ZK-MCO.

Good flights. Went in the cockpit at the end of the Flight down, asked if jumpseat was possible but the flight attendant said that this captain was quite strict about that.

Cruddy weather in Christchurch - cold and wet but ohh well.
I'll post the pictures asap.

Well here they are (finally). BTW these have only been converted and resized from the original RAW files. No editing yet.

This isn't the plane we are going on but it's worth a picture. We were on SJB, though the engines are now white :-(

Before startup. We had a nice on time departure today.

Taxiing to runway 34 for a left turn south.

We taxied straight on to the runway and throttled our way forward

Climbing with Rongotai/Kilbirnie to my side

The wonderful city of wellington

Soon enough we were at cruise

Engine detailing

The wonderfully... well... flat..? city of Christchurch laugh.gif

Turning onto final

Though I must give it to Christchurch - wonderful alpine scenery!

Reversers!

An interesting visitor...?

Any cockpit visit is a good one!

Hope you like these. The flight back photos will be here soon. I do have plety more from this flight but these were the ones which didn't really need editing.

Cheers,
Kelburn

The Uzbekistan 767 visits several times a year to transfer fishing boat crews to and from Christchurch. The flight originates in Tashkent and makes a stop in Kuala Lumpur.

First part is right(usually 2 times per year with 2 flights-total 4 per year). They are based in Tashkent, but flight actually starts and finishes in SIP(Simpheropol) Ukraine

PS nice photos, especially of cities!

Here are the photos on the flight back to Wellington.
Pretty bad weather and lighting ensured that photography was very hard!

ISO 1600!

7:00am :-(

Sunrise

I like this effect - low ISO...

Close up of the propeller

Pencarrow

Above the threshold

The terminal.

I was disappointed that I had a scratched window whihc limited my photos :-(
