Some really nice photos there and although it was a great day in some ways it wasnt in others if you know what I mean.

My focus for the was on the Checkers last visit to Wigram and I think the shot below is my favourite from the day.
The new team in front of the Harvard framed against those old classic hangars just looks the part to me anyway.

Got a bit of flying done and here are some shots.
Thanks as always to the usual suspects.

I love the shot of Harvard 15. The trees at the bottom of the image just give so much perspective to the shot.

A superb morning for photo's , the afternoon changed with a very smokey atmosphere for the other displays , residue from those nasty Australian bush fires , the wind change slight to clear it a little by five o clock , it was a great day .

Great stuff again Gavin. I was starting a chat after the show with the Checkers pilot second from the right after their display, but then the work cell phone rang and interupted sad.gif Got the rest of your pics on your website yet? (no time to check, time to head to work)

I know its a bit late but have a look at the weather segment on One News this evening as one of my favourite photos of the day will be on it.
It took a few clever moves to line the aircraft up with hand signals, radio etc with the restricted airspace behind Wigram but we got the result we needed.

Havent had much of a look through the shots yet but some of the harvard photos have come up really well.
Its taken quite a while to get the photos of the aircraft and it was worth the wait.

Squadron leader Scott McKenzie flew it and boy can he fly an aeroplane well.

That was a tight formation , being up there you missed some of the comments on the ground , many were impressed and did not understand the formation , a quik cherp in their ear's , now that really is Wigram .

Thanks for that Ian.
The boys flew really well and it did take a few clever moves to get the aircraft in that spot due to restricted airspace behind Wigram so we only ettempted it once by way of a figure of a tight figure of 8 combined with a lot of talking and some vigorous hand signals.

The formation was quite significant as Grahams Mustang is painted in 3 Squadron Canterbury colours and not much needs to be said regarding the Harvard so we only ettempted it once by way of a figure of

The support given by the RNZAF was first class and it is not that common to see their aircraft in formation with civilian aircraft but they could see the benefit in getting such a photo and they are very happy with the result.

Have written one story on the open day for an NZ based magazine and supplied photos to a UK based magazine and am looking at a feature covering Harvrad 15 so photos from this point might be a bit slow in coming but due to so many emails regarding the photos I thought it best a few are posted.
