These pictures are to give a bit of an overview of the airshow from my perspective. My camera doesn't have a zoom lens as big as a metre ruler, so don't bother trying to use one of these pictures as your desktop background.......best wait for Gavin Conroy's photos

Well, me and my Dad got up at 7 o'clock this morning to get ready for the Wings Over Wairarapa Airshow. We left Kapiti at ten past eight and headed over the hill towards Masterton. Weather looked pritty bad, and with the internet confirming rain (our worst fears) we didn't bother to pack sunscreen. Big mistake!
When we arrived, we waited in a queue filled with cars bumper to bumper. Having booked the tickets online, we were told to pick them up at the main gate. "Oh hi marshaller, we need to pick up our tickets" "Oh yup, just drive down there" OK, so we pass cars turning in to park at the car park (Where we should have been turning
The Wairarapa sun shone down on our necks and aircraft everywhere. I am burnt, not as much as I thought though. Didn't see any NZFF'ers, but you might have seen me. At one point I was covered in tomato sauce from spilling hot chips down my front. Then you might have seen me soaking wet with water, trying to get the tomato sauce out of my clothes!
Anyway, I had a great day and look forward to any future airshows I attend.
