On the Way Home, I spent a night in Sydney, then flew home to Brisbane.
I arrived at the airport about an hour before the flight. Probably not the best idea at Melbourne, its busy! Again, I was called through to check-in.
I used the online check-In at my freinds house before the flight. There was not one window seat, except the last row. So I just chose that, and thought id ask at the airport. At Check-In, no no no, no seats avalible sorry sir full flight. I didnt beleive her but anyways take it as it comes I thought to myself.
I took a few pictures, along with a fellow photographer, who had a really old Canon Film Camera. From the breif conversation I had with him, he enjoys it all the same.
In Melbourne, at each gate, they have a Qantas Customer Service desk sorta thing. So I approached the lady and asked for a better seat, about 30 mins before the flight was supposed to board. Oh yes, sure sir, plenty of seats on the flight. Ill put you in row 44K. Hmm something Odd...
Anyways, the Boeing 767-300ER, VH-ZXB (British Airways Leased 767) I was due to be flying on, on my CityFlyer flight QF454 to Sydney was late arriving from Sydney, and then the captain later said it had been delayed since its first departure that morning in Brisbane. I boarded the Boeing 767 about 20 mins after expected, to a surprised of an almost empty plane. Apparently Qantas was having "Issues"

On Board, I asked to move forward to the exit row. He seemed fine with that, just after takeoff he said. So I sat back, and enjoyed the takeoff. Our flight time was to be cut down to only 1hour said our Captain.

After a quick taxi out to Runway 27, without delay the throttles were pushed forward and we soared into the rough melbourne skies on our way to Sydney

Soon after, the seatbelt sign was turned off. I moved forward to the exit row, and ate my "Refreshment" of a Muffin and some Soft Drink.

As it seemed, barely 5 mins after that we were already decending into Sydney. We had to catch up alot of time I guess. Fine weather in Sydney was reported, with a very hot top temperature of 26 degrees.
Following the STAR, we turned south, then back to the north to land on 34L.

After a quick chat to the flight attendent, who was sitting opposite me in the crew seat, I asked him if I could visit the cockpit. He said he thought it would be most certainly fine, and contacted the head Flight Attendant who passed it onto the Flight Crew, who seemed more than happy to let me have a squiz.

And a few pics from Melbourne, Ill post the Sydney ones in the next report.

Sorry about the dust spots you can see in the Wing Photos
Stay Tuned for the last report soon! Cheers Ben
