My family and I went up to Auckland this weekend for my cousin's wedding. We went on QF up, and ANZ back to compare the two.
Unfortunately I couldn't get any pics onboard ANZ on the way back because I was in 2E, the woman in 2F hardly looked out the window
Got lots on -JTQ though!
We were in row 5 which is the first row after Business.
ANZ was better in every way, Qantas was a joke. We arrived at the airport at 10am for an 11am flight, and we finally boarded just before 1pm. Luckily Dad is a Qantas Club and Koru Club member so we had lounges both ways. For a business class lounge, QF's Wellington one was pretty average. The 734 we went on, -JTQ was in pretty average condition, and the crew weren't all that interested in being friendly. ANZ's lounge was fantastic. They had everything you would want/need, I would happily spend hours in there, but our flight boarded on time so we didn't have long in the lounge. We departed about 20 mins late to Wellington because we had to wait for some passengers off a cancelled QF flight
, but the flight down was good.
Here are the pics:
A Pac Blue 738 which departed to AKL before us, even though we boarded long before them. "Paperwork delays".

An ANZ 733 which I would've rather been on

Finally we left the gate, and our flight began. We cruised low at FL 290 because of Jetstreams higher up.

New Plymouth down there

Airwork's new 733F

EVA A330- great looking plane

And in the Koru Club lounge this morning:

Our Ride for the way back:

Hope you enjoyed
