Hi all!

Short notice I know, but if any of you are down here this weekend - or live here! - then hopefully I'll see you there. I'll be helping out Tim or Jerry with their tour/talk, along with my good mate Adam Butcher.

An Evening with the Fokkers. Saturday 20 October

o Savour with a glass of Allan Scott's special "Flying Circus" wine selection on arrival (adults only). Wine is also available for sale during the evening.
o Tour the Knights of the Sky exhibition.
o Enjoy an entertaining and informative presentation on flying the Fokker Triplanes THEN and NOW. Classic Wings editor/publisher Graham Orphan will set the scene with a little history and then Triplane pilots Tim Sullivan and Jerry Chisum will share some of the stories and personal experiences of flying these nimble little fighters. According to Manfred Von Richthofen, the Triplane "climbed like a monkey and manoeuvred like the devil".
Time: 4.00-6.30pm
Date: Saturday 20 October
Venue: Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre
Cost: $25 per person ($10 for members). Tickets are limited.

biggrin.gif Great! Woke up with a *bit* of a hangover this am, but ah well....nothing to do with the Fokkers mind you! Had our housewarming with some great mates and had a fantastic time...two of them are on the sofa as I type this winkyy.gif

Well, I rather enjoyed last night biggrin.gif :

Thanks to Jerry Chisum for taking these pics of me. Lothar's machine, ZK-FOT, is my favourite of the Omaka Triplanes.

Not many photos other than a walkaround of FOT, but it was a terrific evening with a great turnout. Tim's talk was highly informative and quite impressive, and I think all concerned had a fantastic time.
