Amazing day in Gisborne yesterday, hot as, wind calm great flying conditions. While I was waiting for the flight to leave, snapped some shots.

This sign tells the pilots a train isn't coming. Yes, for those who didn't know, the railway line runs across the runway at Gisborne. I've only ever seen 1 train in the time I have flown in or out, but you know you have crossed the tracks I can assure you. From the green we are clear to go.

I wish, but no.

Photography is an interest, nothing more. I find it makes me stop and look at the world when others may simply pass it by. Like that DAK in Gizzy with the rust marks and cobwebs, or the reflection in the 1900D spinner. How many of us wouldn't 'see' that stuff?

I am thinking about doing some prints and things, maybe put some stuff on trademe. Aircraft, sunsets/rises New Zealand scenery etc. I take on average 300 photos each shoot, so what you see posted here is a very small fraction of the total, most cr@p ones are culled on the spot, so whats left is usually ok.

My job requires me to travel heaps (Duh!). The flights and photos are one of the benefits.
