Carrying on my caring sharing journey down south, thought I would show you my time at Picton airport.

Hmm, quiet little place, that runway is mighty close and mighty narrow, should be good once the C208 arrives...



until then lets look at the only aircraft around the place, yes, a nice C172, ZK-EKE..




Hmm, needs a bit of a clean out on the inside me thinks..



After waiting 30 mins in the hot sun the Cessna finally turned up, I spotted her running along the ridge line heading south...



Then ducking down behind some hills..



Before making the standard Sound's Air approach..





Mmm, this is going to be good..




And the money shot...



These things are big when they go past you only 20 feet away at landing speed. Then the taxi back..



Parking..



And disgorging of passengers...




And my final parting shot, nice view back on the way out...



I met up with PDM the next day at Woodburne, but thats another story and set of pictures.

Picton airport is pretty awesome IMO, when you're driving past the runway is like, RIGHT THERE

3 type of transport so close ... ROAD - RUNWAY - RAILWAY only in RRR that sounds ear like

Great pics, the orange and white Sounds Air paintjob suits the C206 perfectly!

Nice shots, we had an Air-2-There C208 at Ardmore a few weeks ago; they are quite big up close.
