The Vickers Vildebeest , there is only two in the world and built from bits and pieces, some Museums placing metal pipe rather the authentic Alloy tube - now replaced with original framing - the Wigram team have stalled due to lack off information and actual data just cos they thew the books and anything related away rolleyes.gif .. Crikey .. It happens tho.

This would be an amazing aircraft to see, even if only in a Museum .. they are Huge !

They started digging some of these up here in Blenheim sometime ago never heard what happened.
Ten years ago I worked for a company here in Blenheim and the owners discovered that under the land was an old air force bunker dating from WW2 and had been used for storing aircraft parts, it had been sealed but we believed that it was still there. We thought that we had located the original access. The land was sold I know the new owner well, he recently contacted me and informed me that my suspicions no the location of the entrance was correct and he has located the entrance. he has been thinking about reopening the bunker and asked if I would be willing to help.

Biggest thing is finding anything that is Vildebeest.
