Great pics many thanks for sharing!
Not many folk get to have cyclical training, that's for sure.
It gets you into the darndest places!
How do you qualify, and do you get a cycle??

What exactly is cyclical training? A day off work which lets you have access to all areas of the airport?

Call the tower "Lifeflight request taxi, I have done this in the sim" Lifeflight your not cleared to taxi", "Now let's see what this button does.............

cyclical training - usually twice a year we get a day or 2 that is rostered for refresher classroom work - usually consists of going over recent changes or pre briefing upcoming works or going over points that other staff have bought up that we need to refresh or revise. sometimes it involve getting out on the airfield or into the radar or powercenters or techs huts or up into the apron tower or a visit to rescue fire or the emergency alerting system etc.

How do you qualify? sign up for an ATC career! pays not too shabby, you get to see heaps of aviation related activity, you get based on an airfield so ready access to aeroclubs etc and.....

IT SURE BEATS WORKING FOR A LIVING! :lol:

Just don't be too afraid of heights up in the tower. Maybe you need a glass floor like they have in the skytower
