Heres a few photos from Steel Talon. Steel Talon is 3 Sqn's tactical exercise, where we practice large (for us) aircraft formations and inter operation with the NZ Army.
We had 6 Hueys with us and about 50 Aircrew.

7 not an aircraft shot - but this is what the mckemzie country looks like - waiouru of the south. The dark spots in the middle right are a 105mm artilliary section that were firing over our heads.

Damn the closer off Wigram , 4 UH's past the western boundary off Christchurch , ...... , all this this practice and loosing the South Islands Capital air force base , the aircrew swear to 'shite' saying the best , place to stop to kill the munchies before heading to the ..oh poo 105 incoming ..
