A group of Ag pilots were at a meeting last night so the Bristol was run again.
The left engine didnt play the game but Al worked on the engine and cleared a fuel blockage.

I was taking some time exposure shots at the time and noticed the light moving about so first I asked Al to swing the light in a circle and then just incase the engine wouldnt run I asked him to get up the ladder and swing the light like the prop, a bit of fun during a stressful time but hard case effect.

In the end both engines ran and a load of cheers and clapping followed.
These pilots were very impressed with the old girl and one pilot who was in the aircraft during the run said it has a major highlight of his career and you know what, he has over 20,000 hours flying under his belt so this old girl still has a lot of charm.

This is definetly the second most photo'd Bristol in the world , the first would be our hanger queen at Wigram , even you helped to push the numbers up on that one Gavin smile.gif

Here are a few more.
Might be a while before I point the camera towards the Bristol again but I often think that sometimes life would have been a been pretty boring for some people if this aircraft hadnt spent so much time just being a distraction that you cant stay away from.

Beautiful! I was at Ardmore this morning, and the Bristol there is looking in terrible condition, the tail gone, engines (or so it appeared), in worse condition than last time I was out there.

Most of the parts that are missing from the Ardmore Freighter are actually stored out the back in the yard behind the aircraft, in theory it could probably be reassembled and eventually flown again, but in reality that's probably unlikely.

Aye, unlikely, but it would be nice. Who owns it?

Pretty sure it's Dwen Aviation or whatever they're called.
