Here are a few photos I took yesterday.
Tricky little buggers to photograph but good fun all the same.

Didnt see the Lancaster fly but some of the other stuff was great.

Will post more from todays flying if anyone is interested.

Now if only these things sounded like the real versions and not turboprops on helium!

Great photos Gavin,
I like the photos of Ron’s Herc.
We all had such an awesome weekend, you couldn’t have wished for better conditions. I don’t think I’ve seen the Withers looking so clear.
There was a real feeling of disbelief, almost sadness amongst the participants to think that we had to call it a day pack up and head off home. Just after you left Frank fired up his Boomerang turbine for the first time this weekend and punched out an awe inspiring display of jet aerobatics that raised a standing ovation from the crowed after landing.
It was great to see you out there this weekend and have a good old chat about aircraft.

Cheers Chris

Was a great weekend.
Had to get away as we fired up the Bristol this afternoon so a few hands are needed and not to mention a camera.

Really liked the plane below.
It flew really well and has performace to match the original.

Wont be long until a full size version flies at Omaka.

So true, and won't that be a great sight to see.
I was out in the garage cleaning my model and putting it away late this afternoon and heard the familiar sound of an old Bipe overhead and couldn't help but think that that was the perfect end to a great days flying.

Depends on the engine.. four strokes sound quite different to two strokes and then you have the electric models and the radial engines as pictured above..and the jets sound like real jets..there are also model turboprop engines..havent seen or heard one though.

My Dad was also flying his RC model (he has been flying RC models for over forty years!) this weekend at Springhill ..a 1/3rd scle J-3 Cub

Great shots BTW Gavin..must be difficult to capture them in flight.

Amazing shots Gavin!

Here's a video I found of an RC King Air 200 earlier, complete with turboprops: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmoLrO4fC_E

An impressive collection of R/C aircraft there, that Fox Moth looks awesome - shame about the landing!

The Fox Moth was fine after that landing, it flew soon after.

Here are three shots from Day 2.
