I am still very surprised after flying with Rwandair. Not what I was expecting at all, and the service was good onboard and on the ground. Here are a few photos taken on departure from the capital, Kigali. Due to the troubles in the west of the country (near the border with Congo) I had to leave Rwanda much earlier than planned. Interestingly, plastic bags are banned in Rwanda, so the country has almost no litter, another surprise for Africa. Checks are carried out on arrival to make sure that you do not have any plastic, and the shops there are only using paper bags.

and two shots from Entebbe airport, Uganda:

the next photo was through the aircraft window, hence the poor quality:

smooth landings.

wow, we live an learn. And fascinating to read " The pilots claimed that they are only paid 5-10% of what pilots in the commercial sector receive. “A UPDF jet fighter pilot earns an average consolidated monthly pay of US$500" and that " In April Uganda’s Daily Monitor reported that Su-30 pilots were complaining of poor morale and low pay. Two of the eight pilots trained on the Flanker had left for better paid jobs"

thanks for the information, very interesting.

smooth landings.
