A separate section for photographers to upload and comment on everything from amateur plane spotting images to professional air to air shots.

Had a trip from Sweden to Ukraine yesterday, and managed to catch a few less common airlines and a few less common aircraft........... Sorry for the quality of some photos, which were taken through dirty, double-glazed glass, but hopefully they are still interesting. All taken yesterday, 7th May 2009:-

First, a Fokker F50 freighter taxying at Stockholm ARN

and an ATR72 of Danish Air Transport (with an unusual Finnish registration)

and an AirBaltic 737, again at Stockholm ARN

and an Air Malta Airbus at Munchen, Germany MUC

next, a Lufthansa Bae146, again at Munchen, MUC

not so unusual, but a nice shot, a US Airways 777 ready for departure to Philadelphia from Munchen, Germany

finally, a Tupolev at Kiev, Ukraine BOS airport

Does anyone know what this aircraft is?

Smooth landings

Did you spot the man sitting inside the engine on the Tupulov shot, and also how wide the undercarriage is??

One more shot, not from Kiev, Ukraine but this time from Munchen, Germany

smooth landings.

Does anyone know what this aircraft is?

Tupolev 134A3 UR-65718, one of two 134s in "Ukraine Air Enterprise/Ukraine Government"
Also they have 2 Il-62m, 1 An74-TK300 and Yakovlev 40+few heli.
Where you have shotted this? on main stands near the terminal B? Anyway, have you had problems with taking photos there? If no you are lucky, because it is always headache to take photos of government planes, especially when someone is on board.
PS im big fan of this aircraft for his sound, its sounds like whistle! And very noisy

The Tupolev was right next to the main terminal, I wondered if it was something special when I saw the Ukranian flag outside the cockpit. Hoping to get some more unusual shots when I fly back on Monday. Looks like there are many other ex-Soviet aircraft parked around the airport, including a couple of Anatolovs.

Smooth landings.

The small road behind the aircraft is road to Terminal C(VIP). On that day prime minister has visit to Dnipropetrovsk(DNK), where in the fire in gaming hall 10 people died sad.gif
A lot of soviet aircrafts left to 18L runway-this is military part of airport. If you have any questions about KBP, just ask me, thats my native airport rolleyes.gif I know as for passenger its really bad, but for planespotters its quite interesting as a lot of government planes are going through KBP, also some of AirForces(RAF, USAF, Russia AF etc) sometimes come to KBP(much more often than something unusual in AKL sad.gif )
On Monday you can spot Uzbekistan Airways, Turkmenistan, and possibly Iranian Tu-154(Caspian). It depends on which flight you are going(is it LH via FRA?)

Ahem! 767-200! tongue.gif

Great shots as always by the way- always interesting to see where you've been and what aircraft are on show in other parts of the world!
