After the helicopter display I wandered around to the toybox at the back of the airfield, found some interesting birds being worked on.

Lovely Dove

Tough Cub:

Not sure what's coming here -anybody?

Imagine having a toybox with all these bits on the wall?

Nice ones Charl. Wouldn't there be something great in saying to your friends "Let's go to Wellington for the day" and then all piling into your classic Dove aircraft and heading off. I think that's what I'll do if I won $16 mill on the lotto last night

I think those mystery aeroplanes are a Miles Master and an Auster of some sort

A Master?!   Tis a DH.94 Moth Minor! Masters never had Gipsys, open cockpits or folding wings! Looks as though it's AKM, last I heard with Stan and Gilly Smith?

Haha, just "Auster" will do, they're all so similar!

Damn, I was hoping the Percival would be Guy's Vega Gull/Proctor I, or at least one of the other, newer Proctors! Ah well - was nice to see and hear JOT at Wanaka tho.

Nice shots Charl, you lucky devil!

Ha, didnt even look at the photo properly. Must have been drunk. I was actually thinking of the first Miles Master, minus canopy, similar tail shape, didnt look like folding wings to me, looked like they were lying beside the fues.
