Took some pictures yesterday and a few videos (am going to figure out how to upload them later). The wind was strong, very strong so strong that some planes were using half the runway that they needed. I had to lean into the wind at some points to stop being blown away. Guttered as I left just before (I saw it from the distance) an ATR came in yawing left and right, gains altitude then nosedives pulls up and hits the runway like a brick! Dam! If I was there, it would have made one killer video (It also makes me think that ATR's aren't very good in high winds.

Sorry about the quality. The wind played a major factor in this!

And yes! That is an Air New Zealand Saab 340 sitting in the Origin Pacific gates.

I'll see what I can do about the video (not sure if imageshack can upload them)

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Yes ATRs are not an aircraft I would want to be on in strong winds. They certainly get blown around alot, get some very interesting landings!
