Something my brother has been working on. He is looking at adding pics to the pop-ups so that it will show what the spotting area looks like and the sort of viewpoint you get from each spot.

Have a look and see what you think.

If this sort of thing is useful, let us know and we could look at covering other airports like this. I realise that we already have spotting resources on NZFF, but this is just a different approach.

All feedback appreciated :D

Brilliant presentation.
Assume these are all legit spots. and you aren't going to annoy security-type people by publishing?
Not many airports will let you, any more...

well, you forgot one awesome place, on top of the hill between the freight buildings and the road, theres a liitle diamond of land, perfect for northerly landings. you need a good zoom though... its easiest to get to from the main road side, but you have to park your car by the freight buildings. hope this helps

Very neat, you can add images to spots in Google Earth somehow too can't you?

Looks good, just a few comments.

- The parking next to the fuel depot, all parking spots around there are reserved.
- East Security Access Gate (Gate Alpha), considering AvSec are based right next to it I wouldn't even list it as a viewing spot.
- Seawall Runway 34 Approach, is better now that the tunnel is there.
- The old bunker is in the Palmer Head compond.

Thanks for the feedback guys - will pass it on :)

And, yes, you can add pics and it is intended to add them at some stage.
