Hope you enjoyed them everyone. If you want any high resolution versions PM me, most have been cropped etc to keep size consistent and remove excess space etc.

Great meeting Charl, his son and Choppernut at the show. Cheers.

Nice photos Jon, particularly like the one of the Herc.

Did you stay for the whole show? We had to leave early because of the Rimutaka closure. Unfortunately we had a babysitter to get back to so we couldn't stay.

I really wanted to see the Warbirds Dakota flying but suspect it was u/s. It was supposed to be first up on the timetable, but it still hadn't moved when we left at 3pm. Come to think of it the whole timetable was kind of random <_<

Did you see it fly?

Really enjoyed the time we had and that Dakota looked superb - even sitting on the ground. Hoping that someone saw it fly and photographed it...

Interestingly we had an impromptu airshow by the RNZAF Harvard just as we were arriving home (at 7pm after returning home via Palmerston North!). It was flying very low, staying under the weather and heading out to sea via the Pauatahanui Inlet. Obviously it couldn't find its way safely out as it reappeared, dramatically twisting and turning back up the inlet a few minutes later. Guess it was trying to head back to Masterton, or maybe Wellington.

If you check the other photo series you'll see the DC3 in action. Sorry to have missed you yesterday :(

Nice shots, dude! Lana managed to get off about 700 before the darned battery died on us (it went flat as the Yaks were taxiing, and shortly after -TAF had taken off). We were there Saturday and man, was it great! Absolutely surreal seing the Chaika in the North for the first time, and how cool was it to see that ORIGINAL Bristol Fighter and the Fokker D.VII in the air together?

And don;'t even get me started on -DAK! What a stunner! Whenever I saw her I just said to Lana "she looks so pretty in her new clothes!". Way too cool.

I'll; try and get some of her pics up but it may be a while as the 'net on Mum and Dad's PC is less than speedy.

Cheers,

Zac

Brilliant photos Jon- thanks ever so much for sharing! It's neat how our NZFF community members are getting to meet each other in real life too :)

I know the feeling Zac- horrible isn't it <_<
