I've got this one to the stage where I can show some screenies of it- I just need to get it beta tested a bit more as there are some issues with the flatten unsure.gif

Cheers

Looks pretty good so far Timmo, liking the detail there, the donations sign and buildings up close still looking sharp. thumbup1.gif

If anyone wants to beta test this the file is located here: http://nzff.org/files/kaiparaflats.zip

The actual files will be uploaded Avsim shortly so if you aren't able to beta test it then please wait until the full version is uploaded.

Known issues are below- Please let me know your opinions about these or any other issues you find

* Custom native trees too bright- I think this can be fixed by selecting the 'prelit vertices' in Gmax.

* Fence too close to the threshold- I think this is realistic but i'll have another look at it.

* Minor imperfections in the facilities data (i.e. taxiway overlaps apron)

* Possibly issues with the flatten when using the 20m mesh or at high terrain settings.

You should look into putting the glass greenhouses to the east of the field like they are in real life - they're the best way to pinpoint the field, I find.

Great to have an airfield in the far north for FSX. Looking forward to the final version, but it looks
superb as it is-thanks very much for all the cool scenery and have a great Xmas!

Kaipara Flats , as small as it is , many aircraft types not designed could get out of a seemly small bush strip , lighten the load

a little planning , course .. a B17 was in a sence an over sized DC-3 , but not by that much , give it a couple extra motors .. zippo

Again , read your history , this means taken every thing heavy , guns and equipment .

The Scenery , this must be a MP flyin plenty of room ... Looking at times cool.gif

you could be in East Anglia

The late arrival
