Hi all!

As some of you may/may not know, I'm a fan of the gorgeous Lockheed L-10 series. Specifically the aircraft of Union Airways and later NAC. Unfortunately an Electra hasn't flown here since about 1958, but all hope is not lost as Rob Mackley has an example being restored to fly in Auckland. Fingers crossed it's not far away.

In the meantime, we have the lovely FSDS-Berlin 10A, available on FlightSim.com, for which this repaint of Union's ZK-AFD is available. I decided - spur of the moment - to hop in this lady for a jaunt from Palmy to Nelson with a full passenger load. Dunno about you, but I may be tempted to do a Union Airways virtual tour of NZ when a suitable milestone appears. Ideas/volunteers?

So ,enjoy all!

A nice flight that one, some fantastic views, goes well with that Electra. Great looking aircraft, always liked the very rounded shape it has.

Thanks
James

Definitely shows my age but......I remember seeing my grandfather off at 'Harewood' for Wellington in an Electra 'one or two' years ago.
In those days you could go on to the tarmac. Sadly he died while in Wellington so the Electra is one of my 'special' aircraft - as special as the beautiful Sunderland!!!!

Externally this model looks good (even the props and glass) in FSX withAcceleration and I have been thinking about trying to redo the 2D panel - a few instruments are absent. Its been a while since I redid a panel - hopefully I can remember!!!!!

Hi Ian
Is there anything that your knowledge doesn't cover!!!!
Are you using FS9 by any chance?? It would save me re-installing it to get a screen shot of the original panel.
I'm really rusty on panel layout, the four sets of figures in the config file give the vert and hor posn and diameter but I can't remember (has to do with age which just got worse today) in what order.

Thanks,
Norm
