I have been flying from and to some pretty random NZ airports and thought it might be an idea to ask for suggested starting and ending locations from you guys. Does not have to be limited to NZ either. However I am a low and slow kind of flier and tend to tour in my Twin Otter. It gets around fairly fast tho, 150 - 160 knots I think it is.
Anyway, if you feel like suggesting a flight to me, and I will give it a go smile.gif Even random thoughts are fine too, does not have to be suggestions based on anything.
So, where in the world should I go?

Oh, and any suggestions based on where stock scenery might be best are very much welcomed too.

I have a couple of ideas for you:

Number 1 : South Island/Westcoast, for example a Hokitika-Franz Jozef-Milford Sound-Queenstown (in any oder). You have ocean, mountains, tricky approaches in Fiordland and sometimes the weather gets quite rough, too.
Number 2 : If you like floats : Picton Harbour - Nelson Lakes (either lake is pretty cool). If you don't like floats you can still do it from Koromiko.
Number 3 : A sightseeing flight around the The Mountain : New Plymouth - Stratford

These are enjoyable even with default scenery.
Smooth landings!
Dan

If you have Realnz - trips from Rotorua to Tauranga and Paraparaumu to Omaka or Woodbourne via Picton

Check this link out........

Just Flight Air Hauler

Apart from VatSim, its the one other product that has added depth to my simming...... instead of having to come up with your own ideas about how to dart between far flung airports....... open a virtual air delivery service and haul cargo all over NZ!! You start off small flying little loads in little planes, and slowly build up your business and reputation until you're hauling all manner of cargo in a 737 or bigger!! It works with your own installed FS fleet of aircraft and scenery as well.

I know this is payware and you're already outlaying cash on other stuff for your simming, but if you want to add some meaning to your flights then this is a great program!!

Awesome guys, thanks so much for the replies!
That Air Hauler looks great too, and even has a demo version which I will definitely be checking out. I don't mind paying for it if it adds to the fun smile.gif

Wow, that Air Hauler demo is great!
I had no idea anything like this was out there. Makes jumping around NZ a lot more purposeful (at least it gives you that feeling).
Thanks so much for pointing this out to me. The free demo is well worth trying! Small download and not too hard to figure out the basics to see what it is all about.
I suggest anyone who has not checked this out to give it a go. smile.gif

The passengers 'version' of it is FSPassengers which is available for both platforms, and also happens to have a free downloadable demo. Please see the Review section of the forum for more details. I use FSPassengers combined with a freeware tool called Destination Finder (Look it up on flightsim.com).

A free alternative is also fseconomy.com Has a great community as well, and is aimed at the bush type flights, though handles planes of up to a 100 seater, though no commercial passenger jets. If you join up, free free to hit me up, I'm Binkles, about to start a tour around US smile.gif

Yes thats an excellent flight with the RealNZ and Timmos scenery (yuo could also add Kiwi 360 scenery and the Rotorua buildings)- just a pity I cant find the Galatea scenery and Whakatane just doesnt want to reinstall
