Hi everybody.
Have already posted some shots in the screen shot section then realised should post tour here.
I usually fly the IVAO ifr tours but have become a bit disgrunteled lately by slow reporting etc.
So had a few US airport scenery and have decided to tour the US and visit some of these great airports. In all there will be 14 legs. Starting and finishing in Las Angles and visiting DFW, JFK, Toronto, Boston, Maiami to name a few.
The aircradft of choice is my favourite the CLS DC10-30 in ANZ colours.
So first leg is an early satrt from LAX to Houston..

Lined up rwy 24 ready for departure.

Into the sunrise.

The classic lines of the Dc10.

More classic line.

Touchdown Houston.

At gate and shut down.

Great flight with little wind considering the time of year.

Next leg off to Miami.

Thanks for looking and all comments appreciated.

Leg 2 is from Houston to Miami. did not take too many photos as this has just been an idea to do so the first few legs have only a few photos. Sorry.
Was a great leg with upto 110knot head winds and some great turbulance. So will combine them here.

At ramp on arrival Miami.
Leg 3 is miami to St louis.

Departing Miami.

Flying over Miami to trck to St Louis.

Approaching ILs St Louis

Established ILS St Louis

Leg 4 is from St Louis to Toronto. Forcast was for low cloud and possible snow on arrival and thats wht I got. Was very enjoyable to fly and land in some good pea soup conditions.

At gate ready for departure St Louis.

Approaching Toronto

Established ILS Toronto.

At gate Toronto.

Hope that you enjoy the screen shots and I will now endevour to take some more interesting ones now have started this post.
Cheers,
Adrian.

I know others wouldn't agree, but I do think that livery is still one of the better for ANZ, I prefer it to it's current livery. Enjoy your tour, I would love to take an ANZ around the world in my Regional tour (I read about it somewhere, and stole it) But I'm using the rundown Qantas looking one.

Might have to try and do a fictional old livery for the 767...
When asked what I have contributed to on this earth my reply will be my daugther

Lawrence , I really agree with you on the the livery , the one thing recent is how diverse the Arabic -Middle Eastern, how they have moved from the white tube paints .. recent being captured in Wellington .

Adrian ,... going to love to see you tear up the US country side biggrin.gif

Well the weather has cleared so leg 6 Minneapolis to Seattle can be made. Forcast is claer skies upto the Rockies then cloud down to approx 1000ft on approach. The US is a bit like the UK today, an all white wonderland.

Loading the cargo for Seattle.

Push back and we are on our way.

Climb out from KMSP.

Cruising FL330 to KSEA. Still cannot get enough of the lines of this great plane.

Two views of Seattle and the forcast was correct for once.

Boeing Field as seen from the approach into Seattle.

Short finals on ILS16L KSEA.

We've arrived safely at KSEA.

Almost there and time for some rest.
Over all a great flight at approx 2hr45min.
Time to sort next leg, Seattle to Oklahoma with possible detour over Mt St Helens weather permitting.

Hi Captain Herc,
Great shots and having lived 14 years in the States and logged up many air miles, I am looking forward to the rest of your tour.
Of interest are you using REX for your weather?
Cheers
ps - have purchased the CLS DC-10 package and downloaded the Air NZ Livery as well.

Hi all.
To answer Barringtons question. For the first few legs I used IVAO weather as default. Last leg was with Active Sky 6.5 and REX textures. From now on REX weather and textures. Have now put in Mt St Helens scenery for a scenic fly round on way to Oklahoma. Next leg looks like to be about 3.5 hrs so will need to have plenty of rest first.

Well got up early for the leg Seattle to Oklahoma. Weather was fine and should be able to see the great volcano Mt St Helens and the massive creator very easily.

Taxing to Rwy KSEA.

Rolling KSEA.

Climbout KSEA.

Mt St Helens from cockpit window.

View of creator and lava dome with Crystal lake.

View of creator and area covered by the ash after massive eruption in May 1980.

ILS 17R KOKC.

Was a longish fligh of appro 3.5 hours. Encountered mild turbulanece along the way, but otherwise uneventful.
Next leg another long one Oklahoma to Boston.

Well finally got screen shots into photobucket so here are the next few legs.
Leg 8 Oklahoma to Boston.
Was a long leg approx 4 hours. Great flight and found a huge rift near Springfield. Nice approach just as night fell.

Ready for pushback KOKC

Taxi to runway. Airport buildings behind.

Two shots of the RIFT near Springfield. Could be work of Bart Simpson.

ILS Boston

At gate and complete.

Hi Paul.
The DC10 model is the payware CLS DC10 for FS9 or FSX. An excellent model and the package is well researched and has excellent reference material. Package comes with all models that were made in a base white finish. Need to download livery that you like. Has 2D and excellent VC. 2d mode can switch to copilots seat. Has pushback tug, air stair for when not at an air bridge. Full access to the flight enginees panel with working switches etc. Can be set to cold and dark so need to carry out full procedures to get airborne. Was well worth the purchase and if anyone is interested in this fine aircraft I highly recommend this model.
Cheers, Adrian.

One thing with this package is that you can also modify the aircraft with a INS , 'Bonnie Belle Windsor' did a more correct scale paint in respect to the Koru but the cheat line colours were a little dark , the one Adrian is using also has the textured engines , just a pity the stairs were given the ANZ treatment . The scary part is , and just shows you how fast time is , this model was released only a few months after the release off FSX .
