In News today, MAC airlines announced a domestic service in New Zealand, initially Auckland-Napier-Palmerston North-Wellington-Napier-Auckland service, services will expand as demand and aircraft become availiable, initally starting with one fokker 70 and expanding to fokker 100's. Jason McKee, owner and cheif pilot is hoping for big things, he took an almost richard bransen type approch, and invited media to fly and take pictures in the air of his first aircraft, the following pictures are from the first leg of the first flight, auckland in Napier:

what ever angle you look at it the Fokker 70 looks great and certianly stands out from the other traffic in Auckland

it is just a shame mother nature didn't play the game, in almost her own way she was welcoming the new airline in the skies, makeing sure the livery stayed clean

the chief pilot, Jason McKee made a perfect landing, in less than perfect conditions,

the arrival of a new airline has been warmly welcomed in Napier, where the sound of a commercial jet has been saidly lacking, residents have already pledged to get behind the new player and give them all the support they can, "I am please to hear we are welcome", Mr McKee said, "now all i need to do is get more aircraft and pilots, which is proving harder than first thought". the competion has so far not issued a statement. All we can say is watch this space

Sweet repaint Jas- your own handywork I presume?

Gotta love those Project Fokker aircraft, some of the best freeware addons ever released IMO!

we have got a f100 coming out of the paint shop.

yes it is my hard work, took me all day to paint, and several days thinking about it, should be easy to repaint anything now that i have the layout and colors.

thanks for the comlinments guys, will have to keep up the standard now!! wink.gif

as for other aircraft, well we will have to wait and see how the market responds, the airline will have two fokker 70s and one fokker 100, still working out the routes for the 100. there could be an airbus a318 and a couple of 737's in there, will be upto the market

"It's all Business class on that Fokker!!!"

Sorry, couldnt resist, but that phrase was on a bill-board I saw in the UK a few years ago promoting them being used on a new regional airline, thought it was pretty funny at the time biggrin.gif Nice livery by the way

thanks, i am using Auckland 2006, designed for the real nz akl, but works fine by itself or with the akl 2005, seem to get reasonable frame rates,

now anyone want to become a pilot? i have got a spare fokker 70, a couple of fokker 100's on order, and looks like there is going to be an order for several airbus's, A318, A319, A320 and an A321, just have to get the financial controllers approval!!

Are you going to set up a website?
I don't currently have fspassengers but may get it in the future.

i would definatly recommend getting FSPassengers, it adds so much to your flights and flying. the FSX version is in beta testing now so shouldn't be to far from release

it will depend on intrest, for one or two people i won't, but i will be setting up schedules and such when i can and what a/c are being flown on said routes, if there is alot of intrest i might set up a website. if anyone wants a copy of the textures or schedules for my humble little airline pm me and i can sort that out
