Invercargill to Queenstown

Creator2003 and Kiwibarguy

We set off from Invercargill round 11am'ish in two great little Pipers, taking it slow and easy.

Creator2003 getting crazy, managing before this shot to flip from my left to right wing while in formation, simply awesome in these puppies.

Starting to gain a bit of height for the mountains.

This is what flight forums are all about, this was great fun. What was around the next corner, noone knows. Creator gave his Piper a real workout, its not a stuka mate!
This area is just off west from the Garvie Mountains. You can fly practically in flat lands all the way to Queenstown from Invercargill if you follow up the Mataura River via Parawa, Athol, Nokomai, Garston to Kingston which is at the Southern Tip of Lake Wakatipu. We flew a little further East over the ridge from there.

We flew in formation right up the middle of Lake Wakatipu.

playing around

This flight seemed to pass really quickly.

Heading in for Queenstown, no wind, fine day. Both of us agreed that the default fsx around here wasn't that bad. on finals.

What a great flight mate.

Time for a beer.

It was a pleasure to fly with you, look forward to talking with you again.
