Well I was in the market for a new Aircraft when I stumbled upon a very nicly restored C150, so to cut a long story short I rang the seller and brought it imediatly with out even seeing it but there was one catch the aircraft was located in Invercargil. So with a bit of planing and some cash I was off on an ANZ flight to Invercargil.

On arrivel I went strait to the hanger where the aircraft was located and meet with the seller, who laughted when I told him I planned on flying it to New Plymouth(in small and some long hops of couse) we wealed the plane out and opened here up for a look, the new engine had only done 0|0|0|1|48 hours and she had also been nicly kitted out with a Garmin panel mounted GPS 295. So the seller said his good bys and I headed off on the first flight to Mount Cook via Te Anau for a short lunch.
So far ive only made it to Te Anau for that short lunch but am heading off again soon to MT Cook, and I have to say the weather in southland realy showed off :D

First of many pics, none in the air sory I was to busy having a play :P

There's a very nice freeware Mt Cook, by Peter Lohr - search on avsim for NZMC. Infinitely better than just a runway in the wilderness! :)

nice pics, i fly down there, used to live down there too, lovely place, i used to live in tapanui, pareora and timaru.
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.
