Hi NZFF members,

First of all, let me send you my best wishes for the New Year, and I trust that you have had an enjoyable Christmas holiday.

Now onto the simming news: two major freeware New Zealand scenery addons have been released since the last newsletter, being a high resolution photoreal Coromandel Peninsula (for FS9 and FSX), and a fully detailed Paraparaumu Airport (for FSX only, FS9 version coming soon) to compliment the Real NZ Wellington payware scenery. Both can be found in the Avsim library by searching the author’s name, ‘Robin Corn’ and ordering the results by ‘date’.

Another awesome release this month, although it has no connection with New Zealand, is Samdim Design’s Mudry CAP-10B aerobatic aircraft, which can also be found on avsim. It has also been downloaded 5315 times since its release on Christmas day and is perfect for blasting and spinning around our virtual skies. Get it here.

Congratulations is due for Charl, who won the special Christmas competition with his Emirates A380 screenshot (as seen in the header of this newsletter). He also took home the Megascenery New York prize donated to NZFF from Ian Warren. Thanks to Ian once again for providing the entertainment that made the competition possible!

Also, if you haven’t done so already, please vote for a winner in the December Screenshot competition. The member with the most votes after five days will then receive the Carenado Mooney 201 Prize. There won’t be another competition this month as most people are taking their summer holidays and generally spending less time simming than usual. However, things will be back to normal in February so keep your eyes peeled for a sticky at the top of the Screenshots sub forum.

Apart from that, there is nothing else to report on. Enjoy the sun while it lasts- and don’t get too sunburnt.

Cheers,
Trolly and the NZFF Admin team.

Another great newsletter from you.

Here in Denmark we have snow and temperatures below 0 (zero). Not that funny right now when I know you have high temperatures and (hopefully) sunshine. So right now I have a lot of time to play FS. Maybe I'll make some flights in NZ soon.
