What do you want to see improved, changed, removed or implemented here at NZFF?

I think the banner needs to span across the screen for wide screen users ,it will get rid of that ugly blue that you dont see on smaller screens ...
plus the signature thing smaller i say ,and older posts being archived maybe .
one more thing screenshot comp manly screenshot and less chit chat
its only a small list

I agree with Mike on the chit-chat in the screencomp.

Also get rid of the swearing filter that changes rubbish to rubbish. something like cr@p is better.

Will add a new rule saying you may only post images next month.

Nice one Trolly. The rule for the screenshot comp should allow comments only when you make your entry, IMO

Yep good idea. In my opinion, the screenshot competition thread gets too cluttered.
Otherwise, I can't think of too much else

So where would you suggest discussion about the compo entries takes place? (serious question: Having a comments topic in the screenshots forum seems equally wrong...)

Not sure about only making comments with your entry. Bu66er if yours is the first entry, or you could end up with people repeatedly changing their entry just so they can make more comments... Better to say either you allow comments (maybe with firmer moderation to prevent them drifting off topic), or you don't.

Can't say I entirly agree with stoping discusion in a thread, shouldn't matter what the thread is, the point of this forum is to discuss, weather it be history of the aircraft or ways to improve taking screenshots.

If you don't want "chit chat" because its harder to look at all the shots at the end of the mounth then I volonteer to put them all into one seperate thread, really, please don't kill discusion on a forum.

I have a sugestion, can we have a new board colour? Yellow, pleeeease?

I meant less chit chat not stopped altogether ,and thats pretty simple just direct comments on comp entrys ..ie like thats a really nice repaint greatshot bla bla
instead of lets meet up here and did you see that over there ,how big was that marshmellow other questions could be directed in other forum treads ,like aircraft scenery off topic general or pm
this is just opinion and a idea

Ok, so we can have stricter moderation of the screenshot thread, and some different skins. Both of those are doable. (And with the skins I'll try and fix up the image thing Mike )

Image banner thing was just a thought i didnt have a problem with having a longer banner when i had a smaller screen and longer banner on the old nzffac page but others did ,so id just put it to discussion or vote maybe at one point as it mite be annoying to others ...but yeah cool as all the same as you said its just new things that mite improve the user experance here at nzff ..

Yea, I've noticed that as well - and have been thinking about it for a while, you just kicked my a** into gear.

The only thing I can think of that needs changing is
a. The swear filter as mentioned before
b. the banner.

less chit chat does not mean destroying , if you have broadband loading should not be a problem ever unless you are with telecom school well i havent been there for like 17-18 years and back then like they do today is just putting stuctures in place so you can handle the real world when you finally get out there ..
the only thing i can see that this site has incommin with school is the amount teens and young memebers we have here(not a bad thing )
as with the first page of this months comp you will see how quickly it can fill up with chit chat and not so many entrys ,this makes it harder to browse everyones art work and match them up against each other because most of the time all you see are a sea of posting unrelated to the comp ,
there are topics that could get more use if the questions where directed to them other than going of topic in others(more content more intresting postings )
at the end of the day the comp is a comp not your normal forum tread it is to win a prize not to chat about what you had for breakfast or how much money you dont have ,that kind of stuff would better fit offf topic big time ..

the swear filter , now thats like school ?,it doesnt worry me as i swear every second word and it keeps me on my toes looking for other words best discribing the way i feel or it does it for me ...

I think you should apply the rule retrospectivly and delete all the posts in this months thread that don't have screenshots in them.

Well, after much fiddling with the CSS this evening I've got rid of the bars at the top of the screen there.
