August Banner

Another great shot from Marty's nephew Jono. I was hoping to get a ride in the Convair but this covid thing has wrecked all those plans; and if it hasn't happened already, this pic will soon belong in the NZ Aviation History thread :(

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Great shot, keep em coming from Jono, Marty. So is there any likelyhood they'll continue flying the Convair or is it permanently retired?

We should to a NZFF get together and charter it for a flight somewhere

Thanks for the kind words gents, Jono passes on his regards as well.
Between him and Chris, I can supply enough photos to last year's.

deeknow, I'm not sure about the fate of CIE, but the last flight was CIB from Auckland to Wanaka (back in May I think), where she will reside at a museum. She had a good life, retiring at 69

CP ...not sure about " legendary" ... that could be good and bad ..Oh, I could tell some stories :wink2: .....but thank you Sir.

One thing I always like doing is reading the details on Forum members' "profiles", and YouTube creators'; "About" section!
Always lots of very interesting information which they freely offer about themselves; their whereabouts, interests, etc, to be had!.... ...!
It opens up the whole world to us, and makes us all much closer together!
Lots of fascinating stuff to be discovered on Internet Forums, etc!
Paul..... :D ...!
