Is this a good specification for one?

Firstly I can say the GTX 1050Ti isn't a bad little card at all, I'm running that in my rig and it runs P3D really well.

Secondly the spec only says a SSD for storage, are you adding another HDD to the system or using the ones that you currently have, as you would soon run out of space in all honesty.

PSU wise I'd be looking at around a 500/600w for future upgrades to the graphics card though.

All in all I'd say that the system should be able to run P3D and DCS fairly well, although I would be cautious over the fps that the company are saying it'll run games at. If you are interested Overwatch runs between 60-75fps with almost everything cranked up.

Personally, I'd go for a bigger gfx card. I'm running the 1070 and it's pretty good but looking toward the future, I'd go for a 1080TI or bigger. Just future proofing yourself. Also, I'd posssibly look at an I5 or and I7 processor.

Seems a little light across the board for a new build.
As stated before, I'd be looking at an 8GB memory graphics card at least, an i5 proc (i7 nice but more $) and 16GB main memory to start.
SSD is nice but largely affects loading times from scratch rather than anything 'in game'.
If you go with your spec you might be wanting to uplift it in fairly short order.

Take a close look at the mainboard you choose; not from 'speed' but from 'upgrade-ability'; it require a little bit of crystal ball gazing, but try to look at what future processor you might be able to drop in when the prices come down .. then, *importantly*, keep a regular eye on processor price and availability and drop in the biggest / best processor you can just before they become unavailable in the market. That was my plan with my last mobo and I missed so I couldn't get the better proc when I really wanted it. With my current build (a recent i5) I have a monthly reminder in my calendar to review processor availability; I reckon in 12-18 months I'll drop in the 'best' i7 I can get for that board and eek another couple of years from it.

Sorry Lindstrum but I'm with the other guys, you really should take the opportunity of a new machine (doesn't happen that often right?) by upping the spec of the GPU, CPU, RAM, SSD and PSU. These are all quite a way behind what I'd think is a base spec these days. Throw a few hundred more at it and you should be good. FYI my current Sim rig is now 3 years old and all of my components are some way ahead of this and I'm about to look at a rebuild. Hope that helps.
