Just logged into wonderful NZFF forums only to be surprised and amazed to see beautiful and extremely cool new banner with total amazement to see that Cowpatz is ACTUAL real life Air New Zealand pilot???

I never knew that!!! Imagine me chatting with Cowpatz on the NZFF forums not realizing and not knowing that he is real life Air New Zealand pilot!!

Regards,

Aharon

Yes we have quite a few members that are real airline pilots and over the next year we will be changing the banner to a similar banner with another of our real airline pilots in their office and what their office building looks like.
We will also be looking at doing banners of some of our members pilots who just fly private light aircraft.

And once again, thanks for GREAT GREAT idea of new banner system It is GREAT idea.

Don’t worry, they don’t often venture out of the private pilot’s lounge.

I would be careful there Nick you may be responsible for few passengers and a little freight but no where near as many passengers and freight as an airline pilot has under his care :P

That is true, but I'm flying the aircraft the whole time. In all seriousness, that's one of the reasons I went down the rotary side; variety and hands on flying.... and helicopters are cool  I respect my fixed wing brothers and sisters but it sure isn't for me, not for a career anyway.

Quite a long time ago, I wangled a trial flight in a little Cessna out of Albion Park (YWOL these days). It operated on a common frequency, report yourself basis. As we levelled out, I noticed a chopper in the distance, and soon after I heard him on the radio saying he was joining the circuit. The FI was looking for him, and I was delighted to be able to say "He's over there , behind your right shoulder - but don't worry, he can stop, we can't"
