OK I've spent my Sunday evening with large pruning shears around several threads.
The tone of the forums is generally pretty laid back, and things get twitchy only when it gets personal.
Tonight it got a little twitchy, and some admin became necessary.
Remember it is never a personal thing when admin intervention happens, it is simply an action in the best interest of the forum.
So if I've removed a post of yours, I apologise;
it was attached to a topic which got the chop, and so no longer had relevance.

And here's a tip, if you feel a need to vent your spleen here:
Press the button marked "Preview Post" before you actually send it.
Reading it as it will appear in the forum has a remarkably calming effect!
(And gives you the chance to fix any lousy typing, too! )

And, if you feel a need to communicate something personal to someone here, that's what the PM button is for.

Having been a forum moderator myself many times over the years I have to say that when it comes to behaviour of board members you have to make a call. Forums are "supposed" to be friendly places where people can chat and post with relative freedom and safety of being flamed to death.

Unfortunatly however as a moderator you have to sometimes make that call which is not going to sit right with everybody, whether its to remove or edit a post, suspend or even ban a member outright. I know I have done this aswell.

But what makes a moderator do that? Simply put ignorance, stupidity or pure and simple abuse from the user who ends up getting moderated. Unless the moderator has a personal vendetta against a user they have simply NO ONE but themselves to blame for what happens to them.

I think we are all mature enough to be able to make a nice sensible response without flaming someone or using derogatory tones etc. If you are incapable of this, then no one is forcing you to post so dont. Not everyone is the same age or maturity level as the other and we need to bear this in mind aswell.

How about we all get back to being friendly to each other here and remove the needs for a thread like this?
