Another "Merry Christmas" from sunny Nelson this morning! (home with the family)
Hope everyone here has a wonderful break and lots of good food! Thanks to all those who put in the hard work this year to make Flight Sim as wonderful as it is, be it a repainter, scenery designer, model builder, or forum administrators ;)
Thanks and best wishes to all

Typical Palmy weather for Christmas. It's drizzling again.

Thankfully the kids waited until 7.20 to drag me and Mrs Bandit out of bed. They are now full of sugar so Mum can look after them for a while.

Santa delivered to me Real NZ Auckland and Wanaka/Tekapo so all good. Waiting on EZ Scenery to arrive from O/seas.

Just kicking back today. Have an 11 or 12hr shift tomorrow (oh joy) managed to get today off this year at least.

Merry Christmas one and all.

Hope everyone had a good day. I spent my Christmas Day the traditional way, opening my stocking presents first, then going to Church mid morning, and then having all the family over for a roast lunch and pressie opening (which I still can't get my head around- In England where I am from, it is all cold and snowy in December, and the warm food matches the cold atmosphere outside... but here, its sunny outside, and after eating our Turkey we went for a swim and played badminton in the garden... I don't get it lol  )

I still find it hard to get into the Crimbo mood, as I am used to dark cosy December nights in front of the fireplace with carol singers shivering in their boots coming round door to door- but here it's mid summer and I'm in summer holiday mood  This all changes when you receive gifts though and I was fortunate enough to get: 'Airliner World' December Issue magazine, a new logitech USB mouse, a race car compass/air freshener for my car, 2007 Prop Planes calendar, a new ATLAS (I'm into maps and geography and stuff, and I like to do research on regions I fly in FS :D ), various vouchers, heaps of chocolate and lollies, and a nice fat wad of cash from my parents to spend on either i) a flight yoke and pedal system for FS or ii) a trip to Australia :D Some of my relatives in the UK also sent money which is awesome because £1 is equal to nearly $3  so I might get myself a new graphics card hehe :P

Do you know if they have any impact on your PC/sim performance like force feedback steering wheels and the like..?

Very bitter again this christmas because that bloody Mr Claus just like last year never brought me my helicopter so I wasnt a happy kid christmas morning although I got a massive pressy to go towards my PPL(H)/CPL(H) in my trust fund so by time I get that in 2 years if the prices stay at what they are I will be able to pay for PPL plus extra flight time on top and just the normal stuff ya dont really need at this time of year lol like chocolates being just one of those things hahahaha.

Was a good day though went to my sisters minus my EC-145 (thanks again !!!!SANTA!!!!! ) and had an early lunch before heading to the hangar for christmas lunch/drinks had a quick chat to HN TWR to say Merry Christmas before a game of hangar badminton lol (I spent half the game in fits of laughter with people mocking me) and then headed off to a friends for a early christmas dinner before heading back home to pass out on my bed.
