Its seems that only a small group of members got this email, so I'll need their help in order to try and track this guy down - if you got an email please get in touch with me via PM or email.

If you think you might have hackers, do a good virus scan and make sure you have a working firewall.

Yeah quite a few people have complained of double ups, even though I only sent it once. I got two copies in my inbox for somereason, perhaps because I am in multiple rank groups (like you Zolt), being Admin, Moderator and Members... I'll get Alex to look into it, he seems to know the system settings better than me

I get double up emails from the NZFF everytime, double news letters, double warnings. I didn't recive this "hoax" email, I just got "warning" messages, two of them of course, I don't see the need, people are eathier stopid enough to reply to it (with real of fake details ) or reconsise it for what it is and delete it and get on with their life.

Being a minor I don't get alot of "spam" (don't know how this works, but adults seem to get all the spam with hotmail and things), but after three days with the flu (and still going) I got this one:

It might be the member once known on these forums as Alkazarholic, who got banned after just 10 posts. He has our 'select group' of e-mails. Perhaps trying to get back onto the forums as somebody else, to wreak havoc like before? Just a thought. The Melbourne e-mail asked for bank pins aswell.

It's not a good idea to reply to these people at all, even with a fake password. All that achieves is letting them know that your email address is active and is checked by a real person, so they will keep sending you other emails, e.g. spam or more ask-for-password emails. And if you give your password to anyone over email, it's completely your fault if your account gets hijacked, IMO.

Think the motto here that dont answers theses email right? also dont name ppls as people that mite/maybe/wonder if they did this crime/spam/hacking in a public forum ,
i think we know what to do now and if you still havent got the picture yet after all theses posts pm admin about it ...there must be more to chat about now than this subject ..
