Icons and loging in

Could we have the original Sub-Forum icons or ones that are edited so the turn just say orange when there are topics in a sub forum that we haven't read? Also is it possible to login and stay logged in as I have to log in each time I visit and it's annoying.

Kelburn - in the bottom left hand corner of any page there is a little box where you can choose "IP.Board Pro" that will give you orange icons next to boards with unread topics.

Kelburn, we have Trolly working on the skins, and we'll make changes as we can, and have time. We are planning to change those icons over. Make sure when you log in, that you click 'Remember Me on this computer', or that you aren't blocking cookies from NZFF. ;)

dnkiwi, I found we had a security setting that locked an account for 20 minutes after three failed attempts to log into it. I've lifted it to 5 attempts and 15mins. We've also found that a couple of users could not log into their accounts, and had to have their passwords reset. If you have any problems logging in, feel free to email me at alex@nzff.org. And nope, we will never charge you for anything, changing to/from any skin is completely free. ;)

I haven't had a single problem with logging in since the new board opened so could it just be a select group of people that are having issues with the whole login sequence.

I think the icons are good think of it as a step forward for NZFF and a new step in the right direction means a new look so why not keep this look as some have said it looks fresh and professional I too enjoyed the old board but this is a good look for NZFF it should at least be trailled considering we have only had the new board for just over a day give ya selves some time to adjust to the new look.

Well, at the moment we have different skins that you can select at the bottom of each page, I think a good idea would be to have a few different skins, and members can choose which one they like best. We'll be working on that over the next few days. ;)

When I use FF, it works for me. Can you make sure you have allowed cookies from nzff.org? :)

yep... the cookies are there... and its set to NOT clean cookies when I shut down FF... its odd... if I close the tab, it works fine... if I shut FF down and re-open, then I have to log back in!??!?

v. frustrating

EDIT @22:25: Ok, well its magically started working now! If its not working for you and you use FF, try ctrl+shift+del, and clear everything out... see if that helps. I think this is what did it for me

On the main forum page, above the 'Board Statistics' (so, near the bottom of the page) on the right, click 'Mark all topics as read". ;)
