Hi all,
Thanks to VPN, we have been busy organizing our first ever joint multiplayer event with the Ozzies from the VOZ community. The flight night is scheduled for the upcoming Sunday the 4th November (or should that be Movember?) at 6 o’clock PM New Zealand time. The server IP address is ‘mpflt.ath.cx’ which can be entered on the default flight simulator screen, and the Teamspeak address is ‘203.173.131.35’. Access passwords to both the IP’s will be sent on the day, via PM (Personal message) to all those who have made a post showing their interest in the official thread here: http://nzff.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4605
In other news, one of our members, robindanbo (aka Dan Mitchell from BSMP) has been busy putting his talents to good use by cooking up some kiwi 737-300 repaints for the excellent freeware Vistaliners model. Variants include: Air New Zealand, Air New Zealand special ZK-SJB, Air New Zealand special ZK-FRE (as seen in this newsletter banner), Qantas New Zealand, Freedom Air Yellow/White, Ansett Australia, and Air Vanuatu. They are all available for download over at Avsim.com by clicking here. Charl has also created a exclusive NZFF repaint of FSD’s Pilatus Porter in the colours of ZK-MCT of Mount Cook Skiplanes, more details available here.
Also, in case you had not browsed the Announcements sub forum lately, you may not know that our previous screenshot competition sponsor, Carenado, are planning to release a Mooney M20J as their next payware aircraft. Fortunately, it will be compatible with both FS2004 and FSX. You can find more details and preview images here.
Another link worth clicking, would be the epic ‘The Soviets are invading!’ cold war thread, which currently contains 15 pages worth of amazing 20th century military and combat aircraft screenshots- well worth its five star rating. Incidentally, you can now rate any screenshot topic, from one to five stars, by clicking the star outline on the top of each thread whilst it is open. Just one of the many new features we have introduced since the old days or NZFF.co.nr!
This month’s NZFF screenshot competition theme is “mean machines” which you can enter here. Also, if you have time, please place a vote for your favourite entry from the October competition here, before the 4th of November.
Finally, we would like to welcome 45 new members aboard this month, who are: mjrhealth, madman, serendip, db07mufan, Nick, Arlen, aviation, GAK, ba43, Tornado8, remmington, satellite, Dundee, hamstickZKFLT, jezza, witako, doctorroscoe, airboy92, hasegawa, GDNZ, shmbry, dcshoe, marcel, Javelin, robertkoon, MahG, NZCH1, areyouin86, SeanG, munter, tonymtana3, trevorbee, loophoden1, FJFlyer, brent01, Willoughby, Koyunbaba, scanner, YakDude, yak52dude, Sonnyj, ilovetofly, BAT22, Finney, Blabzillaweasel!
