Kia Ora NZFFer's,

This month we celebrate our very 1st anniversary of being online, a whole 12 months since we first opened back on April 25th 2006. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for making our forums what they are today, with a member base approaching 400 users, 19 sub-forums, over 2600 different topics and 23,500+ posts!

During the year, many great accomplishments have been seen throughout our community, with our own members designing and realising many scenery packages, aircraft models, repaints, AI packages and other addons for New Zealand flight simulator enthusiasts.

Literally hundreds of questions have been asked and answered, gigabytes of screenshots and photographs have been uploaded and viewed, thousands worth of virtual kilometres have been flown and reported on and stacks of knowledge has been transferred between members. We have given away many dollars worth of payware prizes, and even foiled unsuccessful sabotage attempts!

Yes, we can proudly say that we are New Zealand's premier flight simulator community, and over the last 365 days, our country has experienced a massive expansion in the hobby that had never been seen before, getting ourselves recognised on the world stage.

We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to every single member who has contributed to our success, because without you, we would just be a blank website template lacking the community spirit that we maintain to this day!

To celebrate our first birthday, we have some exciting surprises lined up, including:

A FSX Airshow- This exclusive online event will let you either participate in aerial stunt displays, or just watch other simmers performing routines above a new custom built NZFF airport, which will be available to download for free. Watch the Announcements Forum for more news later on!

Also, we have some special NZFF Anniversary repaints to be released, and a very special kiwi aircraft package that will also be released this month"¦ plus several more brand new long awaited paintjobs will become available for download.

Commemorative T-Shirts will also be available for sale, a must have fashion accessory for the kiwi flight simmer! More information about this will also be posted in the Announcements Forum soon.

And, as always, we have a brilliant monthly screenshot competition running, with Captainsim offering any one of their products for free to the winner as a prize. You can enter the competition in the sticky thread at the top of the Screenshots Forum! (Expect to see some reviews of Captainsim aircraft appearing in the forums soon as well.

Have a Happy Easter and enjoy our birthday month,
From Trolly and the NZFF admin team.

I didn't know about it until about four months after it opened. I think I visited it a few weeks before it opened but there was an error etc as it wasn't open yet.

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.
